In situations with large spans or space restrictions, suspended (sometimes also referred to as overhead) cranes are used to operate on tracks installed on the roof structure of buildings. They are commonly employed in applications with large-span structures or clear space limitations.

EUROHOIST suspended cranes can be equipped with various types of European-style wire rope electric hoists, as well as single/double girder and multi-span configurations of European-style chain hoists, providing lifting capacities for spans exceeding 100 meters. These cranes offer robust lifting capabilities.

Suspended cranes move along the tracks that are part of the roof structure. This design eliminates the need for installing separate runways and runway beams. As a result, suspended cranes can be positioned in the center of large assembly areas without obstructing factory floor aisles or operational processes. Additionally, the suspended crane system can be designed with a jib beam (lateral extension), allowing the European-style electric hoists and loads to travel beyond the track path.
